Father Brown Filming Location

Filming takes place in the Gloucestershire village of Blockley using the Church of St Peter and St Paul, Blockley (Church of England) as the St Mary Roman Catholic church of the series and the vicarage transformed into the presbytery for Father Brown's residence.

Mill Dene Garden

Established in 1965, the garden surrounds a Cotswold watermill with stream and millpond. It is a garden of many rooms - a cricket lawn, innovative fruit garden, rose walk, and herb potager with the village church as a back drop. Alkaline/neutral clay and Cotswold brash soil - steeply sided valley running East-West, a frost pocket at the bottom by the water, sunlit hills at the top three weeks ahead of the rest of the garden.

Batsford Arboretum and Garden Centre

Batsford Arboretum is home to a unique collection of some of the world’s most beautiful and rare trees, shrubs and bamboos spread across 56 acres.

Bourton House Garden

Bourton House Garden features luxuriant terraces and wide herbaceous borders with stunning plant, texture and colour combinations. Features include a topiary walk, a White Garden and several spring-fed water features including a raised basket pond from the Great Exhibition of 1851.

Model Village

Welcome to The Model Village. We are the only Model Village in the UK that represents it's own home in 1/9th scale, and recognised in 2013 by English Heritage as qualifying for Grade II Listed status - giving the attraction protection from any changes as the village accurately reflects life as it was in the 1930's when it was first built.

Bourton on the Water

Bourton-on-the-Water’s most prized feature is its beautiful river. Rising just outside the small village of Taddington approximately 10 miles away, the river meanders for some 35 miles until reaching Newbridge in Oxfordshire where it flows into the River Thames.

Lavender Fields

It seems a long time ago planting those first few plants on hands and knees in the first field. At the time we didn't know if lavender would suit the soil type or survive the harsh winters up here. But survive it did, although we did have a few sleepless nights in the early days. It is now difficult to remember a time before lavender was central to our farm. Almost everything we now do revolves around lavender - growing, harvesting, making new products and of course using it ourselves every day

Broadway Tower

Broadway Tower & Park is a family-owned Cotswold destination set within a 200-acre estate of parkland, allowing visitors to experience great English heritage in an inspiring location. Your ticket includes all you need for a memorable day – Tower Museum with roof platform, the Deer Park or walking the grounds with your picnic.
